Shannon & James

Shannon and James were awesome to work with! They have such a great story of how they met (they were set up through mutual friends). After having a long distance relationship, they are finally living in the same town and loving it. I can't wait for their upcoming wedding! They were up for whatever I asked, and even had some wonderful ideas on their own! Here are three of my favorites.

In this image, they are actually standing in the middle of these rose bushes, thorns and all! That's tough love!

Can't wait for the upcoming wedding!

Beth & Rex

We had a great time at Beth & Rex's wedding at Gorham's Bluff in Pisgah, AL. It felt like being in a warm northern Minnesota town with all of the cottages and the beautiful mountain view. Beth has a wonderful, vintage sense of style and the details throughout the wedding showed just that. Everything was so classy and the intimate setting was perfect for the two of them.

I love this beautiful shot of Beth.

This is right after Beth & Rex saw each other for the first time. Her flowers were gorgeous!

He did finally make it up there :)

Beth's mother and grandmother.

Look at this gorgeous view of the ceremony

And one of my favorite grooms cake ever!

Audrey & Ben

So here I am, finally catching up with my blogs! I still have several weddings to share plus some baby sessions. Audrey & Ben were married in October over at Cedarwood which is my new favorite place! It is beautiful and very diverse especially when it comes to locations for photography. I had a wonderful time photographing Audrey & Ben. Audrey has one of the best smiles ever, and she was so happy all day which of course makes it easy for me. They both are a lot of fun to be around as I'm sure you'll see in the images. This first one is an overview of some of the beautiful details at Cedarwood.

This image that Jenn grabbed of Ben and his daughter, Ella, melts my heart!

Audrey & Ben know a lot of the same people that we do, which made it fun to see familiar faces at the wedding. This is our friend Tony who was a groomsman. This photograph just makes me laugh.

As well as this one I grabbed of the flower girl.

Audrey and the girls, Ben and the guys.

The sweet, beautiful, emotional ceremony.

This is my favorite from the whole day.

We had the chance to get this group shot of everyone at the ceremony. I love it!

The lovely Cedarwood at the end of the night.

Thanks for letting us be a part of your day! We had a great time!

Ashley's Bride Guide & 27 Dresses

I wanted to post this for all of you future brides that would love the opportunity to see "27 Dresses" for free. Ashley from Ashley's Bride Guide is taking 27 brides and their bridesmaids to see this movie on January 27th at 3:00pm. You can find more information about it on her blog here. While you are at it, check out the rest of her site. She has developed a very informative site for Nashville brides and you will be able to find a lot of help in planning your wedding here. If you end up going, let me know how the movie is! As much as I love art films, romantic comedies are my guilty pleasure and I'm pretty excited about seeing this one :)

My Little Sister...

Is not so little anymore, and is getting married! AHHH!!! Boy to I feel old. I am so so excited for her and can not wait for what I am sure is going to be a super fun wedding. People keep asking me if I am going to photograph her wedding... and the answer is Yes and No. I am going to be a bridesmaid, and will do everything in power to keep the camera out of my hands on her wedding, and just enjoy everything! However, Dove will be photographing her wedding. Our wonderful Jennifer will be taking charge and I can not wait to see the images she will come up with! The equally amazing Matt Dunmore will be shooting alongside Jenn. I can't wait!

Jessica and my soon to be new brother, Alex, came up to Nashville this past December for their engagement session, and we had such a fun time. They were both up for anything (as they usually are), and we went around downtown on an unusally warm day for December. This one is one of my favorites, that really show their fun personalities. I have entitled it "Marriage"... ha ha!

I wanted to show one more of them that shows just how beautiful my sister is!

Love,

Whitney

We're Back!

My blog looks so sad, with no posts for the past week. We had a great time yesterday at the Nashville Bridal Show, and sadly I did not take any photographs. Peter has been sick for the past few days, so I was in charge on getting everything set up and keeping everything together. The one thing I decided this year was that I was NEVER going to be in charge of set up for our booth again. By the end of the day, we broke our lamp, I was yelled at by a security guard because I couldn't drive our huge cargo van very well, and I almost got pinned against a nice car that wasn't mine with our pallet full of very heavy stuff. Luckily, as I yelled for help two guys rushed over and kept me from getting hurt! Ha! Peter just laughed at my when I told him about my crazy day, but he also promised I would not have to go through it again. Other than that, I had such a great time meeting new people, seeing friends in the industry, talking to some of our amazing clients browsing the booth, and looking at all the amazing things Nashville has to offer for weddings. I thought about posting some of the favorite things that I've seen here, however, Ashley from Ashley's Bride Guide was at the show and is going to be posting a lot about what was at the show, so I'll just recommend that you check out her blog here.

Our booth was very similar to last summers, so I'm going to just share it with you.

Lots more to come in the next few days!
